The Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall at Utah State University

“Chamber music” is music meant to be performed in small, intimate settings. Listeners can hear how each instrument contributes its own voice to a conversation that might be sweet, sad, angry, excited, or all of these moods in succession.

You don’t have to be an expert or seasoned listener to enjoy chamber music. Come in, sit down, and let the music take you where it will. Because the acoustics in our venue, the Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall, are so finely tuned, it’s important to be quiet during the performance so everyone can enjoy the music.

In chamber music, works may have many parts or “movements”. The tradition is to hold applause until all the parts have been played. If you’re not sure how to know when it’s done, just clap when everyone else does!

Attire is usually “business casual”, but it’s Cache Valley, so we’re pretty relaxed.
